Crew Needed
Below is a list of crew positions, anything from sewing costumes to lighting the sets, or even doing creature makeup. All positions are volunteer for the first season unless sufficient support can be raised. We will be shooting in the mid-Willamette Valley during the summer of 2014.
Seamstresses- Once we get the material, we need people to sew the costumes. If you're good at sewing and enjoy it, we'd love to hear from you.
Hair and Makeup- Being a fantasy there is a degree of specialty makeup and prosthetics, as well as ensuring hair stays in place from take to take. If you have any experience with this, or would like to try your hand, now's your chance!
Art Department- Whether a prop or a set piece, we need people who like making things. We can't always buy what we need, so we're looking for creative people to make it happen. From arrows to armbands, trunks to tiaras, we need your help. Skill sets include, but are not limited to, working with:
wood, metal, leather,
molding, sculpting, casting,
drawing, inking, painting,
and many more...
Set Construction- Thankfully the number of sets in Season 1 is limited, but we can still use all the help we can get. It you're good with tools, this is the place for you. There is some overlap with the art department, as fake stone will need to be created, attached, and painted.
Horse Wranglers- Simply put, we need horses and people who know how to handle them. If you're good with horses and/or own one or two who can handle people and controlled chaos, we would be only too happy to have you. A sub-set of this group is if you have a horse and would like to be a cavalry scout or of the Hashurun horse guard, we have a place for you.
On-set Crew- Grips (holding & moving stuff,) gaffers (lighting,) sound, and camera. If you have skills in any of these areas, especially the last three, your assistance would be much appreciated. While we have people who can do these things, it would help to spread the load.
Production Team- Okay, there's some overlap here, but think of this as a more administrative level.
AD's (Assistant Directors) are people wranglers, making sure the cast and extras are where they're supposed to be, when they're supposed to be.
DP (Director of Photography) Tasked with using the lighting and camera to tell the best story possible in each shot.
Producer- If you're good at troubleshooting, finding people and things, and making sure the director has what he needs, then you're a Producer.
Marketing- If you have connections or know how to make them, if you know how to draw people to something, this is the job for you.
Photographer/Videographer- For capturing what happens on set and behind the scenes.
Post Crew- Anyone with skills in...
Editing,
Photoshop,
CGI,
Compositing,
Sound Mixing,
Sound Syncing,
Color Correction,
etc.
...goes here. If you have any of these skills, and are interested in flexing those muscles, then do let us know.
Note: We are filming in the mid-Willamette Valley in Oregon, and this is a small production, so volunteers would definitely need to be fairly local.
